I bet they won’t even realize you’re talking about them, either. Those kind of “compliments” make it really hard to figure out what you’re supposed to say back to them. How do people not realize when they’re being rather fucking rude?

Just, stuff like that they pretty much hate what I draw, hate everything I like, think gay stuff is shit, and disapprove of almost everything in my galleries - but since I appear to have “some talent” they’d totally love it if I drew *insert thing I’m totally not interested in here*. I’ve had half a dozen people do this, and I’m wondering if they’re all coming from the same place, or if it’s just some bizarre coincidence XD
I’m also getting a rash of people I’ve never talked to before just leaving me messages that only say “DRAW THIS” and describe some random fandom/couple/series.
It’s getting really frustrating. Usually this kind of thing just glides right off like water on a duck’s back, but for some reason the sheer volume of people doing this is starting to get to me. :(
…Is there some sort of threshold I have just crossed, that makes it suddenly okay to demand art from me and/or give me the most insulting backhanded “compliments” someone can think of?
Because I think in the last 3 days I have gotten eight or nine people who either have no idea that I am not a porn-churnin’ machine, or they just really want to hurt my feelings without being a right-out asshole, or maybe both. :|
